Time zones with direct Oztivo data

I am subscribed to oztivo direct to get data for my Web Scheduler (I use oztivo extreme to grab the xml file, then just point web scheduler at that xml file). It works a treat, except that the channels that are not Queensland specific channels are all one hour out (I'm in Brisbane).

So 7 QLD, Nine QLD, SBS QLD, 10 QLD, ABC QLD are all fine - times are right; but ABC2, Seven HD and SBS News, which are not Queensland channels are all one hour out.

I use the EPGStream packaged oztivo stream for MCE, and that is great - the guys sorted out the timezone issues today - but the oztivo direct stuff is still out.

Anyone have any ideas on how to sort this?

Re: Time zones with direct Oztivo data

OK, I have written a little script that goes through an xmltv.xml file and will search for entries with stations that are the wrong time offset and correct them. It's attached - rename it to .vbs.

The bits that need to be set are the file location lines, the offsets that need to be changed (i.e. +0000 to +0100, or -0100, etc), and the channels that need to be changed. The relevant part of the script is shown here:

'Insert name of original and target XML files here, and what you want the original to be renamed as:

OriginalXMLFile = "c:\windows\ehome\bladerunnerpro\guidedata\xmltv.x ml"
UpdatedXMLFile = "c:\windows\ehome\bladerunnerpro\guidedata\xmltvUp dated.xml"
BackedUpXMLFile = "c:\windows\ehome\bladerunnerpro\guidedata\xmltv.o ld"

'Insert original and new corrected time offsets here:

WrongOffset = "+0000"
RightOffset = "+0100"

'Insert names (as in the XML file) of channels to be corrected here:

Channels = Array("ABC2","SevenHD","SBSWN")

Thought this may be of some use to someone else...

I have run the script against my oztivo extreme downloaded xml file, and it sets ABC2, SevenHD and SBSWN for me in the xml file as follows:

Original:

<programme start="20071106190000 +0000" stop="20071106193000 +0000" channel="ABC2">
<title>Secret Recipes</title>

To:

<programme start="20071106190000 +0100" stop="20071106193000 +0100" channel="ABC2">
<title>Secret Recipes</title>

Only thing is I'm not on my WebScheduler PC ATM so i can't check it in the EPG...

Re: Time zones with direct Oztivo data

Thanks very much - That little program proved useful.

Wondered why I could not move the new file back to the old name.
Discovered that the file had not been closed. (Easy fix)
