Unknown channels

k ummm i use a 32 bit vista. i dont know why but when i scan for channels to watch all i get is unknown channels also they're very not clear. though when i first scanned it i got all the channels i needed like 7 digital, 9hd,etc. though i acciedently deleted them so i can anyone help me out? sorry if this is the wrong place im new. thanks

It sounds like the most recent scan that gave the "Unknown" channels was for Analog.

Best bet would be to go back through the "Setup TV Signal" wizard under Settings, and when going through this ensure that you select "Antenna" and then "Digital" as well.

Once you re-scan the channels after this you should get a better quality picture again with all the channel names back.

Try mce reset.

You can download it from here

http://www.salloway.org.uk/MediaCenter/util/index.htm

It will allow you to clean out all the basic setup configs and start again without having to re-install MCE
