HIS HD 3650 AGP problems with motion blur when watching TV.. please help

HI All

I purchased a ATI HIS HD 3650 AGP to be able to play blueray on my htpc setup.

I have changed the jumber to PAL format and i have installed the latest HIS drivers and also have tried the latest 8.8 ccc drivers and 8.4 and i cannot get a clear image when watching TV i get a faint motion blur on all channels.

i have tried 720p at 50 and 60hz with overscann on and off, and it makes no difference.

720p is my native resolution on my 42" plasma

my previous card was a geforce 7700 agp and it worked perfectly except i couldnt watch blueray with it.

please help its driving me mad..

any help is appreciated

cheers aron

Sorry , not any help , but interested in how you get on, thinking of getting one of these cards myself.

One idea, what codec are you using?

Re: HIS HD 3650 AGP problems with motion blur when watching TV.. please help

im unsure what iv done but it seems to be ok now.

here are some things iv done

1. remove vista codec pack
2. remove all in one codec
3. download vista codec checker and also the xp version, the vista one only ever shows the default msoft codec and as im running vista 64 apparently you cant use it.. but in the xp version i can see all the codecs.
4. insall power dvd 8
5. i have selected both powere dvd 8 codec and also my dvico codecs in the xp codec changer and both remove the ghosting
6. reinstalled just vista codec pack.

now im unsure at what step it fixed itself, as it working now, i created a restore point and wont touch anythign else anymore.

but all channels working perfect and clear now..

sorry i cant be of anymore help

cheers aron.

Sorry this is not helping you but is the HIS AGP ATI HD 3650 any good? My mother board is only good for AGP graphic cards so i'm stuck with this card. Is it good for todays games and future games?
