HVR 2200 Dissappears!!

I'm trying to install a Hauppauge HVR2200 that everyone raves about into a fresh install of XP MCE 2005. I can install the card and drivers fine but when I reboot, the card has vanished (it's still in the box of course) from Devie Manager.

If I remove the card, restart/reboot then re-insert it's like it was never gone?! (i.e. doesn't show up as new Hware found) It's just there! Now the next problem I have is that when it can be seen, MC is able to use it to scan for channels but I never get a picture.

I reckon I've got a dud here but need to be able to prove it to the shop for a replacement but thought I'd ask here first to see if this is known strange behaviour.

Cheers,
ontiK.

A few questions for you
Have you had a PCI-e Tuner card working in this PC before?
What motherboard do you have?
Latest drivers from Newmagic site
Driver Release 7.2.9.26105 (04/14/08) ?

Cheers Damon.

Stupidity reigns. A BIOS update sorted things out.

The drivers I installed were the ones that came on the disk. Where can I download the ones from newmagic? I couldn't find them anywhere.

Glad to here its a working, some motherboards have all sorts of problems with PCI-e cards. One early Gigabyte 965 board I had would do the same thing. The only solution was to use the second PCI-e video slot that worked perfectly.
