Help needed my sound keeps muting and i'm losing WAF!

The sound on my MCE keeps muting and un muting itself at random intervels. Sometimes its just for a split second and sometimes its for quite a while and itys beginning to seriously hack me off.
It seemed to start after installing some of the april updates from Microsoft, however i have rolled back and uninstalled those and the problems persists.
I can easily un mute using the remote or keyboard but it keeps happening.
This happens in XP and the media centre mode as well

I need some help please, I have an onboard soundcard on my asus AV8 MX that uses the realtek HD manager. Do I need to install another soundcard or is it a software problem

Many thanks

Alan

Finally fixed the problem, it was all to do with the receiver! I switched frequency channels and its all fixed. Should have started there first before installing new soundcards etc
Cheers
