Asus 8600GT 512mb - NO SIGNAL

MCE 2005 has been running fine for over 12 months... BUT, I just brought the subject card and now get "no signal" at all and/or see the DOS boot screen then black screen, if the system manages to get to the MCE screen soon as I hit the remote to change channels it locks up?

Throw the old 6800LE back in every thing works fine, connect the system up to a 19" CRT monitor (with 8600 install) and works OK. I have downloaded the latest drives still the same outcome. Also tried VGA lead to TV and still get no signal.

UPDATE: I just install MCE 2005 on a another computer with the 8600 installed and still no luck......

Any one struck this problem before with the 8600, or have I brought a lemon?

Re: Asus 8600GT 512mb - NO SIGNAL

Hi,

I also bought a 8600GT and am having problems. It installed without a problem however when I go from watching something to the menu the screen just goes blue. MCE is not hanging as you can drop back to windows (blindly) and when you return to MCE it works again.

Any having this problem? What drivers are people using on this card? I am using a Gigabyte.

F.
