Resoution confusion with HDMI

Hi,

I'm a little stuck trying to figure out resolution problems. Hopefully a simple problem.

I have just upgraded my MCE graphics card to an ATI x800 and I am now using the DVI out to plug into my HD TV.

I have set the graphics card resolution to 1280x720 and told my philips tv that it has a PC input, the desktop now looks great. I ran through the MCE setup screens and MCE told me it was set to 720p on an LCD TV. So I thought everything should be good.

When I run media centre the resolution of the menu screens seem OK, they don't appear to be too big. However when I play live TV I loose a portion of the top and bottom. The zoom function of the tv doesn't seem to be enabled when in a hi-def mode, so I'm a little confused what to do next.

Any thoughts?

Re: Resoution confusion with HDMI

Are you running Vista? Try changing the resolution within the media center app.
