nVidia Resume From Standby Problem

Hi,

I have recently installed a Nvidia 6200 AGP video card in my MCE2005 box....

Since installing the card I seem to be having problems getting the media center to resume from S3 standby. The system appears to be working, HD activity etc but there is not video or oudio output. The system also does not respond to pings or other external interation.

I have tried the drivers that shipped with the card and the current nVidia drivers. For this card the MCE doesn't seem to have an included Microsoft driver that i can test with.

Does anybody know of how to overcome this problem?

Cheers
Daniel

Re: nVidia Resume From Standby Problem

moyls,

I would try installing MST its a standby tool and has helped people overcome problems. Its worth a try and will not hurt the system at all.

By the way have you tried other sleep modes to see if its only S3 that is causing problems?

Craig

Re: nVidia Resume From Standby Problem

I also installed a 6200 Nvidia AGP card the other day, previous to this I had the same problem as yourself but now everything works fine. Initally I had problems with stutter so I did a lot of searching and found a driver on the UK Nvidia site 163.75 which is supposed to be for MCE (that's what the site said) it might be worth trying.
