Cyberlink Power Producer

Hello to all,

Just enquiring if any of you out there are using this Cyberlink software... namely the Power Producer Express or v3. I really like the sound of a very very simple piece of software being able to turn movies on a HDD to DVD. The three click option sounds great to a simple person like myself...

I have tried to get in contact with the sticky thread initiator, SEDave, but it seems he has gone AWOL... so if anyone else could help me on a couple of questions I have about the product mentioned, that would be great...

Also, is anyone out there using the Cyberlink MCE plugin... Cyberlink MakeDVD....?? Info and experiences on this porduct would also be interesting.

Thanx in advance

Andrew

Re: Cyberlink Power Producer

I used Power Producer for a while. Not happy about it. I had a lot of synchro problems with converting dvr-ms to mpeg or avi.

Hmmmm bugger... Would love to be able to talk to SEDave and see how he was able to get it up and running so well.... Hopefully some of the other guys who contributed to the original sticky may be able to input on their experiences..... Thanx

Re: Cyberlink Power Producer

I use powerproducer for making dvds from mpeg files. Its very simple and effective. The problem I found with using DVR-MS files is that it doesn't handle widescreen video well at all. It simply squashes it horizontally to fit 4:3. Everyone looks reeeel skinny. So if your using a digital tuner, it's not much use.
