Whenever I try to encode a HD recording with Mcebuddy, the machine crash/shut after about 10-15 % on the way. Can anyone please help.

Re: HD encode with Mcebuddy always shut/crash machine

Just a first guess - maybe you have it set to convert to a really high standard recording, more processing power than your machine can cope with. I think when I got MCEbuddy it came set as default with pretty high settings, which would take a looooong time to run (but wouldn't crash the machine). I set it to a much lower standard and it works great now.

Re: HD encode with Mcebuddy always shut/crash machine

Hi scapes,

I think my mach is powerfull enough ( X64 5200+). The mcebuddy is installed standard and i have tried converting to both DivX and H.264. It works fine and fast when converting SD recordings but when converting HD, it will go about 10-15% and than the mach would just shut down unexpectedly. At times i see the "nvport.sys" error in the event logs.

I'd try posting at the MCEBuddy forum: http://MCEbuddy.com
