problems with rrecorded tv on vista after transferring to another vista pc

hi there,
can anybody help me?
i just transfered a recorded tv on another pc with vista and somehow it wouldn't rewind or fast forward and also it hangs on the middle of the movie.
i tried to view the movie on vlc media player and it works fine except on vmc.
