This latest release build includes the DVR-MS output hang fix that was beta tested last month.
If you output back to DVR-MS & experience the odd delay at the end of the output (can be minutes with 0-2 seconds to go), then this is the build for you.
Cheers,
Justin

Any ETA on the version of VideoRedo with DVD output?
It's still in testing amongst a limited group of users, and will hopefully be available in the not too distant future. It is looking very good, and will provide a really neat and simple way to generate DVDs from TV recordings.
In the meantime, there is a new VRD beta available: v3.0.1.1-522, though you may want to grab the b4 update of the beta, as some people have experienced some installation weirdness on some systems with the initial build 522 beta.

.
Not at the moment, AFAIK. Given the increasing volumes of H264 content out there, I'd be surprised if VRD didn't eventually support it, but to the best of my knowledge this is not planned for the immediate future (ie in the next few months). The current focus is on the DVD Authoring and Burning side of things, as that is something that lots and lots of people have been asking for.

Will the DVD software have a "shrink to fit disc" ability?
Will the DVD software have a "shrink to fit disc" ability?
I don't believe it will initially, as VRD's focus has always been on speed and quality and shrinking is a re-encoding step that takes time and reduces quality. This doesn't mean that it won't be able to do this down the track (or be able to re-encode non-DVD standard resolutions to DVD compliant resolutions). It is able to create DVD file systems or ISO images onto the hard disk that can then easily be run through something like DVDShrink as a post processing step if necessary, prior to burning to DVD.
