Re: convert to wmv

If you have vista you have Movie Maker installed on your computer. It is a simple program BUT allows you to export and edit TV programs recorded in Media Centre. You have around 5 choices on how to save the file. These include wmv format.
If you use XP you can download Movie Maker for free from Microsoft. It is a good free program.

I'd daresay he's using XPMCE by the following:

I think DVRMSToolbox does it - somewhere in the Downloads Area. Or to save you some time here's the actual link to the Video Conversion Downloads:

Also be sure to check out this thread. http://www.xpmediacentre.com.au/comm...oolbox-go.html

I use Total Video converter for all my conversion needs. Ive heard good things about SUPER too.

There is also a new app at the vista plugins section that looks great, but still in beta so a bit glitchy. Promises to be excellent once finished, including mce interface based editing

Re: convert to wmv

Personally I love Mencoder. It works beautifully and is fast to boot.

Once you've got a few favoured profiles built, up it's just a matter of writing a quick batch file to get the job done.
