VideoReDo - If you have slow DVR-MS output

I'm talking about where the output dialogue gets to 0-2 seconds to go & just sits there for ages.

Also, if some of your edited shows lose their data (episode info, recorded time, etc).

If either of those applies to you, please have a look at this thread in the VideoReDo forums: "save as" hangup.

VRD have come up with a beta version (2.5.5.520) that seems to correct the issue. Don't install it over your current version as it's time bombed (another 39 days). It can be found here: VideoReDoPlus-2-5-5-520.exe

It's a good idea to report your results in the VRD forum.

Re: VideoReDo - If you have slow DVR-MS output

thanks for the heads up logifuse

I luckily havent had these issues in vista or xp. I use VRD to splice ads, but then re-nuke with total video convertor to divx etc. Metatdata doesnt make it through that process but that doesnt really bother me. If its stuff I want to keep, the name of the show is enough

When the big screen TV plugin arrrives, i'll be able to organise my series better - but the folders will do for the moment !

btw - does this new version of VRD do straight to divx etc conversion. Thats all that's missing from this otherwise awesome proggie Works fine in vista too.

No, strictly mpeg2 only.

It does have a smoking hot new (at least I think it's new ) preview strip that sits under the main video window & it includes a sound level "worm" - it's awesome for hitting those frame perfect edits.

Re: VideoReDo - If you have slow DVR-MS output

Here's a screenshot.

Edit: Doofus? Me! I remembered that I turned it off in an earlier version because my PC was struggling - it must have not picked up my preference & showed itself again. Never mind - seems to be smooth now & works well.
