Video upside down

Hi,

I've rebuilt my XP Media Center recently. I have some DivX encoded videos that used to play fine. I went to watch one the other day, the first time since the rebuild and it wouldn't play. It gives three tries then leaves me at the "Restart,Delete" prompt.

So I installed GSpot and found that the codex was DivX and wasn't installed.

The codec I installed since the fresh build were XVid, configured to decode DivX, ac3 and ffdshow. So I dutifully downloaded and installed the latest DivX codec and tried again (after rebooting). They still wouldn't play, so I tried to play them in WMP11 and found they would play, but the video is upside down! I've never seen that before, does anyone have any ideas about this?

Have a look around in the ffdshow video settings dialog - somewhere in there is a "flip" video check box.
