RecordedV on a Zune

I know some Zunes have started to reach Aus via various means, so something to look out for is this neat little app

I don't have a Zune yet (naughty me, still use the iPod) and my Media Center is slowly being rebuilt to work with here in the US (fun with the TV - my Aussie graphics card just hates it and I've got to decide how I want to deal with Cable) so I've not rally had a chance to test it yet

Re: RecordedV on a Zune

I have been testing builds for the developer for a few weeks now, but still no dice getting it to convert with either the Nvidia or PowerDVD6 codecs. The developer, Michael, is still working on it though. I sent him two DVDs with some recordings from all the Aussie FTA channels to work with. Hopefully he will get it working soon!

I've had a Zune for a few weeks and it's pretty good. Great screen, although Microsoft make to too hard to get anything but pre-converted WMV files to play on it. There are hacks to get the Zune software to convert other formats, but so far I haven't had much luck with them. MP4 podcasts off iTunes convert flawlessly in the Zune software and look great on the iPod, but my DivX and MPG files don't
