Hi All,
Does anyone have an MCE 2005 configured running dual Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T cards ?
Just curious ot know that all is working well within MCE and you can record 2 programs at once, etc.
If I do go down this path, I would prefer to puchase simply the PCI card (OEM) and not the retail box with the remote control. Does anyone know if this is available ?
Thanks,
MrIan

Re: Dual FusionHDTV DVB-T Tuner Cards
Yes i have 2 fusion cards running fairly well in MCE. There is the occasional glitch but nothing specific thats happened more than once. I have had no problems with recording two channels at once and watching a recorded program at the same time even with my lowley 2GHZ machine. With so much extra recording going on i never have any problem finding something to watch but of course you find you are always running out of disk space faster
I have never seen the cards for sale without the remotes but you can save some money by getting an Ultraview branded card. They are the same product with the same software/warrenty only difference is the box and lableing on the card.

We've also successfully installed 2 Fusion HDTV T1 cards in our MCE test pc. Works without any issues or lockups.
Thanks

Renura from www.Digitalnow.com.au can sell you a Fusion DVB-T lite without the remote. Check it out.

Re: Dual FusionHDTV DVB-T Tuner Cards
Hi all (this is my first post)
I have a Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T Plus card and am wondering a) can I put in a Lite version and have them both work together.
Also how exactly do you record 2 shows at the same time and such with two tuners in Windows Media Center? Is it just a matter of loading up the Media Center Application twice within windows (1 for each tuner)?
Cheers
Darky

Re: Dual FusionHDTV DVB-T Tuner Cards
Hi Darkmenace and welcome![]()
I think with the newer dvico BDA drivers you wont have a problem with what you want to do...someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that.
No need to run MCE twice...I don't think you can anyway.
Recording 2 shows in MCE couldn't be easier. You just browse through the guide and select whatever you like to record. If there are 2 shows at the same time MCE will record both, one on each tuner. or you can watch another channel while recording a different one.
There are many other recording options available...it's most excellent![]()

Awesome
I did wonder how MCE would work out which tuners to use but obviously its smarter than I've given it credit for. Thats good to know
Thanks

Re: Dual FusionHDTV DVB-T Tuner Cards
Just got my second MCE system up and running.
This one is using two DVICO lite cards (thanks Renura for the BDA drivers), everything is working fine.
I have my two MCE systems connected over a LAN and use the main system to control the other system for recordings.

Re: Dual FusionHDTV DVB-T Tuner Cards
I've been meaning to set up remote access myself but I'm too damn busy around here to go and look for a "walkthrough" - anybody care to point me to a simple - quick to read set of instructions?
thanks guys![]()

Re: Dual FusionHDTV DVB-T Tuner Cards
Hi Wildpig and welcome to the forums![]()
As MCE only works with SD at the moment you should be OK for now. I use a 2600 and have got plent to spare. I think some others around here are using some pretty low end bugs as well.
Wont hurt to try eh?
