s-video/composite input showing up as channel

Hi,

I wanted to know if it is possible to get the s-video or composite input of a tuner card to just show up as an extra channel on the tuner?
At the moment I have a Leadtek DTV1000S, and If i exit VMC and go into Leadtek's application, I have the option of switching between either the aerial source, and the s-video source.

I really wanted to be able to just set it so the additional input could be assigned to a certain channel so it would be easy to access within VMC. I am 99% sure my current tuner won't actually allow this, but does anyone know of a tuner which will?

The reason I want to do it is so I can run my foxtel through my HTPC. I saw a guide on this website regarding it but it involved messing around with remotes etc. I wanted to keep using the foxtel remote because I am used to it, and if i could just set it to a certain channel number it would be exactly what I wanted.

Thanks.

Re: s-video/composite input showing up as channel

I had a divico dual tuner card that had its own software to view tv and the composite in. This remmebered what you where watching the last time it booted so i just put a shortcut in other programs which was a good work around to start my auxilary in through media centre.

Only problem is to stop it you had to click alt-f4 on a keyboard, but it was better than nothing!
