No SBS

My system is not picking up SBS at all. I have a AsusTek TV7162 Hybrid TV tuner. Is anyone else having trouble with this card.

I don't think it's the epg because even with the epg disabled it won't find sbs.

I have tried different antennas with no luck. Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

Re: No SBS

Does it find SBS during the scan, but not display it when you try to watch it? Or does it not find any SBS stations at all during the scan?

Are you able to try a different tuner (like an in-built DIGITAL tuner on your TV or a set top box) on the SAME antenna outlet to confirm that you are getting a reasonable signal on SBS. If your signal level is marginal, your PC tuner might just not be sensitive enough to pick it up.

Also, are you using an outdoor antenna or rabbit ears?

EDIT: I've just noticed you're in Naremburn, right next to the broadcast towers. It could be that your problem is TOO MUCH signal - this can stop a digital signal from being picked up properly.

Re: No SBS

I had this problem a while ago. I had 2 HD sbs stations in the stations list and had to switch to the other one to get a picture. I then blocked the one with no picture.

No my system won't even find sbs in a scan. I'm going to buy a different tuner and give it a go. I'm using an outdoor antenna (but I have also tried rabbit ears).

Can anyone recommend a really good half hight pci tuner?
