Compro E900F PCIe Errors

Hi,

I keep getting this error in Vista Ultimate each time I try to get this card working.

"Windows Media Centre Receiver Service has Stopped Working"

I have tried updating all my drivers but nothing seems to work. WMC says there is no tv card installed, but the Compro DTV4 software seems to works ok except for all the Hi Def channels, which have a stuttering sound and picture(green but says signal strength is good).
I ran a memory test just in case, and it was ok.

My current setup is:

Mobo: GA-EP35-DS3L
CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz
Mem: 2g
Video Card: Asus EAH2400 Pro 256mb PCIe

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Compro E900F PCIe Errors

Did your card ever work with Media Centre in the past? I also received that error message with my E900F in the past, and that was due to the fact that I installed a new program which I guess clashed with the tuner and Vista Media Center. (It was an encoding program that I installed). After I uninstalled that program, it worked immediately. So check if you've installed some programs recently. Otherwise just do a system restore to the point where you previously had the card working.

Re: Compro E900F PCIe Errors

Thanks for your help

I uninstalled all the excess software on my system, and this seems to have fixed the problem.
