Hauppauge HVR-2200 Wont install.

Hi guys,

i recently purchased a HVR-2200 tv tuner from Hauppauge and i cant for the life of me get it working in my htpc.

this is a pic of the device as windows does recignise it:

but i used the disk it came with and i also tried the drivers from the newmagic site but they all give me this message:

any help would be most appreciated i have almost finished this build and this is the only thing holding me back.

for reference the htpc specs are:
AM2 x2 3800+
1GB ddr2
Asus M2A-VM HDMI
Ati Radeon 2600pro
2 x 500gb Hdd
Hauppauge HVR-2200
Asus Dvd-rw
Antec nsk 2480b case

Cheers,

Chris.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2200 Wont install.

Do you have another PCIe slot you can try the card in?

Edit : I see you don't! Try removing your 2600 card, use the onboard graphics and the HVR2200 in the PCIe x16 slot.

Re: Hauppauge HVR-2200 Wont install.

Problem might be a PCIe bus resources issue (motherboard) - maybe see if your motherboard has updated BIOS.

Someone else with a bit more knowlage may know this off the top of thier heads, but are the happauge drivers compatiable with a 64 bit OS?

Yep, they have drivers for both - 99% sure the CD includes both, but the downloaded drivers definitely do.
