DN Dual Hybrid Tuner Gone

Hi all,

One of the tuners on my DN dual hybrid tuner has recently disappeared, which is great timing considering I'm trying to record the Olympics over two channels. I can watch one channel with no problems, I just can't record another at the same time.

I suspect that the tuner hasn't crapped out as occasionally I get the "two tuners are in use, select one etc" message, but when I try to select one to change the system hangs and I have to do a restart.

Any ideas on what's going on? I'm not a bright spark when it comes to all this computer business so would it be a good idea to just reinstall Vista and hope for the best, or is this a common issue that is easily resolved?

Any help appreciated.

Its an issue that some people do have and as far as I know there isnt a fix. Renura from DN went through some stuff previously in other threads in relation to this error and in the end it got chalked up to some machines having the issue whilst most dont.

Use the search function on the site and have a look at dual hybrid tuners lost (or something to that fact) and see what comes up. There is a disclaimer now on the DigitalNow site that states that a small minority of users experience issues etc etc etc
