PCI dual tuner card recommendations???

HI Guys

I am in the process of converting my old AMD 3 gig machine into a HTPC

I have got Vista Media Centre working on it after upgrading the video card and memory.

Now for my next purchase a dual digital tuner pci card. Yes PCI!

I have looked at digitalnow and they recommend USB but I have limited USB port available and I am concerned that the USB device needs to be visible for the remote control to work.
So with those concerns I am turning towards an internal PCI dual digital tuner.
With what is on the market at the moment can you guys recommend anything that is going to work with Vista.
Hauppage?
Compro?
Leadtek?

Cheers

Craig

Re: PCI dual tuner card recommendations???

The only Dual PCI tuner I can recall are the Nova-T500's.

Also, re: your comment about remote controls, you're not going to want to use the ones that come with the cards (or USB tuners). They're, in most cases, designed for use with the software that comes with the tuner as opposed to media centre.

In some cases they can provide basic control of media centre, but you'll eventually want to buy a proper remote.

Re: PCI dual tuner card recommendations???

DigitalNow now have one! It's a K-World under the bonet (as their PCIe S2 is), so it should be OK.

They got a new dual digital PCI http://digitalnow.com.au/product_pages/DualDigital.html
I use the TinyTwin (dual digital USB) with the extension cable (comes with it) so the IR receiver is in line of sight.

I'm happy with both my Nova-T 500s (i.e. 4 tuners in total) .. running just fine on Vista x64
