I have just setup my HTPC using Wixkidder Foxtel-FTA Guide and everything is working well except when i try to record Foxtel (analog) and FTA (digital) at the same time, I get a conflict or a media centre error.
It works fine if i record just FTA (digital) or just Foxtel (analog).
My record order is as follows
.............................DigA.........DigB.... .....Analog
record order.............0..............1..............2
record Pref...........ffffffff...........0............... 0
Watch order.............1..............0..............2
watch pref ...............0..........ffffffff...........0
I have tried the easy guide to multiple tuners, but that does not include Analog tuner combo, If anybody has this working with hvr 2200 could you please let me know what setting you use.
One other thing I didnt do in wixkidders Guide was Set TVCONFIG analog to 1,1,4,1 because i'm not sure what registery settings I was supposed to change.
I have done a search for this info but I unable to find anything.
Any help would be very welcome
Hi Skissers
I have just had a quick look at your profile and it appears as though you only have the one tuner card. If this is still the case you will only be able to use analog or digital, not both. Its a limitation in Media Center.
Hope this helps
Mark
The HVR-2200 has 2 hybrid tuners, not 2 digital & 2 analogue tuners - if you're using a tuner for digital, it can't be used for analogue at the same time.

But i can watch digital and record analog or record analog and watch digital with that card at the same time through media centre.

Yeah, it sounds like the same physical tuner is trying to be used for both recordings. Try reversing the priorities of your 2 digital tuners. Edit: & don't forget to reboot before testing.

Cheers
Ah ok, I have not been restarting after changing.
My current setup is
.............................DigA.........DigB.... .....Analog
record order.............0..............1..............2
record Pref...........ffffffff...........0............... 0
Watch order.............1..............0..............2
watch pref ...............0..........ffffffff...........0
I'm not really sure how to order the recorders, what would be a good setup for it
i might try to change record pref on the analog to 1.
No, I think the accepted logic is to have the analogue tuner as the lowest priority. Try juggling the 2 digital tuners around - give DigA DigB's settings & vice versa (reboot when changed) - you should stike an order where a digital recording will be on one physical tuner & the analogue recording will be on the other.

Maybe I haven't explained that well enough. The analogue tuner is also physically either DigA or DigB. In your current set up, it sounds like that tuner is trying to be used for both analogue & digital recordings. If you switch the digital tuners around, you should split the recording jobs between the 2 physical tuners.
