u3100 usb tuner stutter

1. I've got the Asus u3100 USB TV Tuner on an Asus notebook with core2duo 1.5GB RAM and it stutters on live and recorded tv. It's really annoying and makes the product pretty useless.

2. I also notice that credits and the scrolling on the bottom of the 7 arvo news or morning shows is not smooth on live or recorded tv. It looks like it's missing frames or something. Does anyone know if this is just a common USB tuner effect, an mp4, or another Asus issue?

Thanks!
