HVR 3000 connected via HDMI = no display

Running Vista Home Premium connected to a Panasonic Plasma via HDMI cable. This has been working fine for months until I dropped the HVR 3000 into it.

As soon as put the HVR 3000 into it the plasma no longer displayed at all, including the basic POST data.

I pulled the card back out to make sure it wasnt a seating problem and it all worked fine again.

is this something to do with HDCP? Is the card not compatible in this configuration? Is this VISTA being a POS?

Any assistance gratefully accepted

Re: HVR 3000 connected via HDMI = no display

Sounds to me like the addition of the HVR causes the PCIe x16 slot that the video card is in to be disabled. You'll have to search for known issues with your motherboard, but these types of issues are usually fixed via a BIOS update.

Re: HVR 3000 connected via HDMI = no display

Thank you I will check that.

I did have a Hauppage PVR 150 in that PCI slot without it causing any problems. But will check for a BIOS update.

MBoard is a Asus P5K-VM
Video card is a Gigabyte Radeon HD2600 Pro
using onboard sound, 1TB drive space. ! GB ram. In a silverstone LC 14 case I think it is from memory.

Unit is just in the bedroom but since it is hooked into our only HD display I thought I might try and get freeview running.
