Hi,
I'm writing this not only to help others but for the next time I format/reinstall my PC.
Here's the story - Vista 64 BIT does note find a driver for the 3020c like Vista 32 bit does.
So what's the solution?
1. Install All Vista hotfixes including Service Pack 1.
2. Download the latest 3020C BDA Driver -
http://www.twinhan.com/download_driver&software.asp
3. Expand the zip file
4. In Device Manager, manually pont the driver to the
WinXP folder,
not the WinXP/AMD64 folder.
5. Reboot - it might not allow you to get into vista because the file 878BDA.sys is not a signed driver. In the F8 menu upon booting up, you can bypass this.
6. To prevent you from having to face that menu each and every time you reboot, you need to do the following:
- Open an elevated command prompt - click on start - type in cmd and press CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.
- type in Bcdedit.exe /set TESTSIGNING ON
YOU NOW HAVE YOUR RIVERS WORKING
Hope this helps others! I know I will forget this.
Cheers - Scott
