Wow! I haven't looked at DN's site for a while. There's a PCIe S3 on the way too - I'm guessing it will have the same chipset as the HVR-2200 (NXP 7164)? Maybe Renura will drop by & let us know.

I am always concerned how much power a PC uses and this one keeps my mind at peace. Ok I use VMC to setup my recordings via free epg. I accidently found this out. The Compro software picks up the recordings and if not in sleep the PC fires up and then records the shows at their time and shuts down again- cool Also there is a DTV plugin which works in VMC. I have old P4 hardware so it does not work smoothly. I think its there to make the analog capture work which I cant figure out. Anyway there is also a DTV gadget for your sidebar which as I understand can show epg from the compro software(dont quote me on this). I definately know however epg is supported by compro's own software but you can only view epg information for the channel you are watching. I dont use this. I only use VMC to set everything up. Hope this helps.
It is terribly sensitive to signal strength. I cannot get all channels to work at the same time without the dreaded stutters. Without an attenuator some channels work, with an attenuator the other channels work. But not all at the same time. And reaching behind the a/v equipment to add remove attenuators is not fun just to do when trying to surf the channels.
On a small rant:
TV Tuner cards just dont appear to be a mature technology yet and it appears to be a gamble for everyone! But by the good reviews/forum posts of the HVR-2200 and the new DNTV on the way, hopefully it will be a more plug and play device soon! (Well i can hope )
I've used PCI Dvicos they were a disaster. The PCI-e version also seems to have issues. If you a lot of time you can read this thread:Dvico...the stuttering...what you can do.
Even with all this remedial work by Dvico they still didn't seem to work.
I have a DNTV Live! Dual Hybrid PCI-Express S2 and it is excellent with MCE 2005 (it does seem to have issues with resuming from standby for intel systems I've read elsewhere, but I use hibernation and always stop MC before hibernating and have had no problems). I noticed that a new version is coming out soon for $139. If it is as good as the S2 I would recommend it.
Cheers

Well I had some problems initially and then I updated the drivers and got the antenna guy come out and check the signal strength. He fixed the problem and this E700 and the old T300 in the 2 Pc 's I have are working perfectly
Wonder what changes they made to the Digital Now Dual Hybrid that it's now an S3 instead of S2?
I think it will be from a different supplier (as the S1-S2 change was), but it sounds like it will have the new NXP chipset. Does component capture too (but that won't be in VMC).
