DigitalNow Twin DVB-T Receiver Drivers in Vista

Hopefully this is an easy fix...

I have the DigitalNow Twin DVB-T Receiver and have installed it into my new HTPC box. In hindsight... a wonderful thing, i might add, I should have left it un-plugged when I installed Vista and all the other bits of OS on the system. Consequently when it came time to install the drivers, I thought if i un-plugged the unit and re-booted... then re-connected the unit, the OS would ask for the drivers and off i would go. Instead nothing happened. On inspection of Device Manager, all is being reported as being correctly installed. Under Video & multimedia controllers, the device is present and reported as working. My concern is that in MCE i used to see this device also appear in HID. It does not in Vista. Is this right?

To answer a question before it gets asked, NO i have not tried to use it and watch TV with it. Between the computer surgery and the TV room is about 20 steps and 20 meters and I simply thought i should ask this question before i walk down and consequently come back up about 30 minutes later... lazy is what some may call it...

Thanx in advance

I haven't checked, but i don't remember seeing mine under HID devices.

If it would, it would be to use the remote that comes with it..are you wanting to use the supplied remote?

I have no intention of using the supplied remote, rather just sticking with the MCE remote. From what i can recall, in MCE i had the same setup i.e. using the MCE remote BUT in the HID I had the driver present and in brackets after its name it had (NO REMOTE)... Just wondering if i should be expecting something like this??

I have tried to contact Renura for the past 2 weeks but have not had a response. just wondering if he is still around and kicking???

Re: DigitalNow Twin DVB-T Receiver Drivers in Vista

well, i couldn't see anything specificly related to the tuner in teh HID devices.

all were generic ones.

I didn't unplug the tuner to see if any dissapeared.

i really don't think its an issue...HID is Human Interface Device...ie, a mouse, keyboard, remote or joystick.
