Several threads recently have had the exact same problem I have currently got. Its very frustrating, because its probably the last major issue I have with my HTPC!
Dvico Dual Digital 4 / stuttering problems
Calling all Dvico Dual Digital 4 owners/users - MONEY AHEAD
everything is great... except...
I have fully read all posts, and they all just stop dead with no confirmed fix!!!??
It is a real issue, I have it, almost exactly the same.

My problem is only on Channel 9, and yes, I can almost guarantee its not a signal problem (I too have had an expensive, fully primed and tested, digital Antenna installed). AND the stutter only occurs when the screen is just about to be mostly filled with white - I have watched and confirmed this happen many times. And because you get white backgrounds a lot during commercials, that is when you most notice it.
The pattern just suggests something else is at fault, just can't put my finger on it.
Its so obviously something to do with what is in the mpeg at the time, and the displaying of it on the screen. It also drops out the audio to my amp while stutter is happening. Some ads that have white all the way through, stutter like crazy, some just near the end, when they are showing text on screen - like a companys details. Then the very next ad, wont stutter at all, then the next one might - so on - NOT SIGNAL!
Got to be a decoder setting, video card driver/setting, tuner driver/setting. But, where is it.
I bet its something simple ;-p
Also notice I have the newer Dvico PCI-e card.
I am very selective about what I change, and install. So this is a very neat, fresh install. No conflicts, no extra decoders have ever been tried (yet?).
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF WE COULD SORT THIS OUT!!!
Anyone have any ideas?
