Re: Official: Hauppauge Vista Drivers Available

Hi Mark
Wow you are getting mobbed in this one!
I have just recently started on my HTPC and have bought a Hauppauge 1300. I have Vista Ultimate 64bit and am wondering when drivers will be available, i noticed that there are drivers for 32bit.

Cheers mate

Re: Official: Hauppauge Vista Drivers Available

The Nova T 500 64 bit drivers have been posted up on the UK forums (link somewhere on the first page of this thread). I'm just having some issues now - Ten is unwatchable due to stuttering, Ten HD shows a green screen, Nine HD has pretty bad stutter also. Can anyone tell me if this is likely to be a reception issue or decoder issue? This is testing the system alongside my MCE box with Avermedia 777's and powerdvd decoder which works perfectly...

Hi Mark,

Sorry to open up a can of worms again but any idea on the Channel 9 No TV Signal issue with the Hauppage cards? It is my only crtisism other that I can't get SBS on my tuner as the signal strength is about 10%...very disappointing (No 3 seasons old TopGear for me. )

Thanks for any input,

Re: Official: Hauppauge Vista Drivers Available

Hi Guys, Ive been meekly watching & searching posts for a couple of months now and better know what & how many issues I have----
I too have a Haup'1300 card & VU64 (and no drivers available)...
Nero 7 of every version available to me for the last 10-12 weeks messes with media player,
ati catalyst drivers upset things--
there's more but ...
Am thinking of goin the dual boot root too..
After many (lost count after3) re-installs of VU64 due to nero issues, I will go back to MCE 2005 so that I can get a stable work horse back with a multitude of software available, but this will have to be followed by yet another VU64 install because of the non-forward compatability of XP booting...
Vista is definitely a much more stable MC, but my black eye-patch is getting cobwebs...
Next I need to learn how to set up my 2 old tv cards that there are vista drivers for (within vista as boxed)... leadtek DV2000 & DTV1000T. Can anyone point me to the right thread for dual card setup??
Cheers & Happy Easter...ED.

Hello Mark

I have (according to Device Manager) (32 bit) Hauppauge Nova-DT DVB-T. Which driver do I use.

Re: Official: Hauppauge Vista Drivers Available

Hi,

Sorry guys I've been away for a while and havent been checking the forum as regularly as I normally would!

I should also point out that anyone wanting support immediately should email tech@newmagic.com.au or call one of our offices Mon-Fri on (02) 9528 4555 or (03) 9752 5200. I do check the forum as regularly as I can but please make contact with one of our staff directly if you ever need urgent help.

The Nova 500 WHQL Vista-certified drivers published in the UK and elsewhere do NOT include the fixes for Australian SFN issues. We will soon be offering a special version for download from our website which includes the fix in a WHQL driver (32 and 64 bit). As soon as this is posted I will post a follow up here.

In the meantime everyone locally should use the driver and patch at our website www.newmagic.com.au/vista

NewMagic/Mark,

Is this also the same for the 1300?? This is the card I cannot pick up 9 and SBS on, Nine is the real issue SBS I only have about 10% SIGNAL strength. These drivers are also 33c, Haupage have 34b on their site as per a couple of days ago...if i don't hear back I will be going ahead with the 34b drivers. Also your links to driver for this appears broken.

P.S. I have 40 minutes to sort out CH9 so I can record the cricket World Cup Final and watch a DVD with the partner....no pressure!!

thanks hopefully,

Well...installed 34b drivers and restarted, now channel 7 has lost signal but I do have Channel 9 and 9HD!! So for tonight I can record the World Cup! I have decided to watch some of it for now especially as AUS won the toss and will now bat...but it may save me being up all night if the game is a blow out or rain delayed.

WAF is down a bit but all is Ok.

As for issues with swapping Seven for Nine....very annoying when are we going to get a driver that will do all channels??

I did a re-scan and found no other channels other than the 9 I had enabled already I really don't want to redo this in fear of losing all channels as it did not pick up any disabled channels on scanning...I ran through entire TV setup after rebooting after driver install via exe. I guess I will go back to 33c and see how those drivers go.

Re: Official: Hauppauge Vista Drivers Available

Hi,

There are no issues with the HVR 1300 at all - the fixes only apply to the Nova 500.

You must have a signal reception issue or possibly a faulty card. Please PM or email me mark@newmagic.com.au and I can send you some test tools

Have e-mailed you...for all those watching here Ch7 and 7HD now work!! Just waited 12 hours and I think I did a second reboot and hey presto all stations except SBS work..albiet they sometimes break up and stutter...this is like going backward from analogue if you have a bad signal it doesn't just get snowy anymore it gets blocky. But sometimes when the weather and the clear sky is right it appears...SWEET on HD and SD

Now I am off to find a good cheapish antenae and get some poor guy to climb on my two story roof! Hopefully the Guide will be working by then.

Hey Warren13
I hear Saturn and Uranus are in line, quick, do a rescan, you might pick up SBS!
On Marks earlier comments, I had a green screen issue so I got the antenna guy out to do a check to find out reception was ok (68db). I couldn't wait for a response on the forum so I called NewMagic and was given excellent support from Mark straight away, thanks Mark and staff.
