I just purchased the tinyusb, and it works great with the supplied DNTV Live software, but I cannot get it to work within MCE.
When I go Setup - TV - Setup TV Signal
I select "YES - Use this region to configure TV Services", then it goes straight to the TV guide setup - I don't have the option of changing the TV signal source! Any ideas how to get this option back?
I had installed BladeRunnerPro, but had not successfully configured it yet... so I uninstalled it in case that was interfering.

Hi Brudd,
As you might have read in this and other forums, the TinyUSB2 works perfectly fine in MCE. So it can't be a problem.
If you have only one device installed, there is no need to select a source, hence no option. I suggest you go directly to scan for more services and see how you go
I tried scanning for services but it finds none! When I scan from DNTV Live it picks up all channels...
Any other ideas?
B.
Other than to do a fresh install of the OS or to contact Micrososft and tell them to fix their Media Center, I have not much else.....is your signal good? Remember that Media Center is rather inefficient and require a better signal than DNTV Live! does, so if for example you are only getting 70% on DNTV Live! that could be the issue for MCE.
Ok, I've installed an external antenna (was just using an indoor one), and the signal strength is right up there, however the TinyUSB still does not pick up any channels in MCE. What is the correct TinyUSB driver to use with MCE? Any other ideas to help get it working?
I've tried just about every version on the CD I think! It's weird - it says it's scanning for services, but just doesn't find any... Is there a way to confirm that I've got the right locale etc? I entered '0000' in the postcode search as per BladeRunner Pro instructions, and am running FreeXMLTV...

Brad,
Any of the TinyUSB2 device WinXP drivers on the CD work with MCE (since rollup 2).
If MC can see the device, then the drivers would be installed correctly.
If you have the correct OS, correct settings, etc and are not finding any channels, it can be due to a number of reasons:
1.Your signal is not good enough - you can check this easily by using the TinyMonitor tool o the CD, enter a local frequency and lock it, see what signal strenght, quality etc you get.
2. your USB2 (must be USB2 compliant) is not getting enough power to feed the tuner (in which case you may need a USB2 power hub)
3. The device is faulty - (very unlikely but possible) in which case you contact your supplier for repair/replacement.

Thanks for the reply Renura.
1. I have checked TinyMonitor, and the signals are all above 80%.
2. The tuner works fine in DNTV Live so I think powering is fine.
3. Again - it works in DNTV Live so hardware should be fine.
How can I confirm that MCE is seeing the right device? Is there a way to list what device MCE is tuning?

If you only have the one tuner in your PC and MC is not giving a tuner not found error and the TinyUSB device is working with DNTV Live!, then MCE is seeing the correct device.
You might want to go through the Media Center Setup and setup yout signal again, and make sure Australia is chosen as the region and do not choose any guide stuff in the first instance, to make sure that MC scans all available frequencies in Australia.
