I send my card back for warranty and just got it back today. I uninstalled the old drivers then installed the new card. I downloaded the latest drivers from the web and everything picked up. All stations picked up...picture is great... remote works and PIP works. I guess the problem i had was faulty hardware. By the sounds of it you may have the same problem.
Yep, sounds like the same problem.
I eventually gave up after about the tenth operating system install and contacted DViCO regarding it. From my description of the problem they stated that the "USB part" of the card is faulty and to return it to the retailler for a refund.
Given the dramas that I have had, I am not willing to replace it with another DViCO card, dual or otherwise. The recent reports I have been reading about the Hauppage Nova-T 500 MCE card have also made me wary of that one. So, that pretty much wipes out my dual digital options. I think I'm going to try an AVerMedia DVB-T A16A, it seems to get good reviews. if I'm happy with it then I will get a second one.
Counting back from 10 to calm myself down... 10... 9... 8...
Ok, not happy. I have read so many threads on this issue but I can't find the solution to my MCE problem - although I'm sure it's staring me right in the face and I just can't spot it. Someone PLEASE help me out.
Bought myself a Fujitsu Deskpower TX last week. My specs are:
The retailer I bought it off did not install the card correctly, so I got some tips from some of you nice folk and fixed it (I have other complaints about this chain of stores but I won't rant here). I managed to get the dual tuners working well last week - could watch and record two channels at once. Then I tried to play around with the Hibernate/Suspend issues and it's all gone pear-shaped. First port of call was to reinstall all the drivers - shouldn't be a problem? Well, since yesterday afternoon, I have uninstalled/reinstalled Fusion TV software, drivers, and the NVidia Pure Video decoder at least seven times. Everything works perfectly in Windows - can watch TV through the Fusion TV program with PIP - 100% signal. But, when I run the settings for TV Signal in MCE, although it picks up the Bluebird and Dvico Tuner, the scan finds nothing!!! I have followed the instructions given on the front page of this thread, which didn't work. I have then done and tried everyone's little tips and tricks (hence the seven attempts to reload drivers), but still no luck. So, if anyone has had the problem of MCE finding no services despite getting 29 channels of 100% reception in Windows, please please please help!
I apologise in advance because I can already see that I am probably missing one small thing to make it all work properly.
hmm...well, one thing that worked for me ONCE...was to shut down my system, unplug the power cord and also the antenna cable for the tuner card and leave it for a few mins...i THINK there may've been like i static build up or something wierd like that.
however, i didn't try the fusion software at that time, so no idea if that worked...
if that doesn't help, best thing to do is to re-install Windows.
if you look around the forums there are many, many, MANY mentions of people using programs like Ghost, Acronis True Image and Drive Free XML (or something :P)...this is not an uncommon problem and not restricted to DVICO Cards.
Ok pantonious, thanks heaps for that - I have finally got myself to see some TV in MCE but now I have the absolute opposite problem - too many channels!! MCE is showing something like 700 channels grrrr
Nice problem to have, although it's making it difficult to navigate through everything. So much trouble!!!
there is the option to delete/turn off the channels you don't want, can't remember exactly where it is and i can't check as i am in the process of acronis'ing MCE over Vista through a wireless network as i can't access my main computer....its only 6Gb, and taking over 1 hour

Acronising... my next challenge. Yep, the Reset Tool did wonders - got rid of all 700 channels, then I restarted and re-scanned everything in. Funny though, whenever I go to edit channels in the Guide, there seem to be more and more listed (was initially 60-odd, now almost 80). I was wondering - I use IceTV which is great, but it only lets you assign a listing to one channel. I was hoping to have double channels for everything (one SD and one HD), so that I could watch HD but record on the SD channel to try and keep file sizes down... do you use Ice? Do you know a way around this?
with BRP, you can add an option to add a HD listing for each channel...ie, you get a Channel 7 and a Channel 7 - HD...
and you'll be glad to know my MCE is up and running great!!!!!! i got my networking problem fixed and did the acronis in about 10 mins...MCE loads so much faster then Vista

Yep, and it goes back to the first posts in this thread. You need to install Fusion and the drivers, then delete what's left. Reinstall Fusion but don't let Windows auto install the drivers, instead select the Fusion directory manually. Make sure you use the updated Bluebird driver mentioned earlier in this thread.
Cheers.
Mark.
OK All,
An update on the installation of the DVICO Dual after a few nights of hard slogging (that in the end was not needed at all). I have just finished installing one and getting it all working, and lo an behold, with the latest published (3.41) drivers on the web site, the card installed perfectly first time. However I spent two night chasing it thinking it had not installed properly because I was only seeing the Five Fushsion HDTV 88x entries in the device manager rather than the eight that were necessary in earlier drivers. I also had an additional Unknown device listed under other devices which was helping to confuse me. After a lot of uninstalls and re-installs always with the same result (trying to follow the instructions here and in the manual), I started to read the release notes for each version of the DVICO drivers and found that (according to them) from V 3.11 onward, you will only see six drivers listed in device manager not eight.
"10. DVB-T USB Driver name is changed from 3 Bluebird~ to one "FusionHDTV USB, AVStream Capture (DVB-T2)" under Windows XP or above."
Any how, thanks for all the help and suggestions here, but it does seem that DVICO finally have the drivers right (at least for now). Oh, I also did the Windows Update for the DVICO Dual Digital as well.
Note - there is a set of 3.42 drivers on the DVICO ftp site as well, and they show a later model dual card that does not have a USB element.
So now I have it all working as advertised (at least as far as I can tell).
Hope all those with the DVICO Dual Digital get to have the easy install that we all should be entitled to with these devices.

Thats interesting! When I first installed the Dvico 'v3.42 Test' drivers and I was also thinking I had missing devices as I didnt have 8 listed. So I proceeded to remove the usb drivers and reinstalled them again twice according the the 'guide' until I got my 8 devices listed. Seems to work ok now but I still have a unknown device in my other. See attached image. Now I'm left thinking though... what have I done by forcing the manual install if it wasnt meant to be how it is now!?
On this pc (amd) I don't have roll up 2 installed because last night when I tried putting it on MCE no longer deteced my tv tuner. I found various articles on the issue but couldnt get it to recognise no matter what I tried, whereas on my other media pc (which is intel) its all working fine.
I'm having trouble with the remote. I've followed this procedure using 3.41 of the drivers and both tuners seem to be working fine. The remote isn't working fine however. I have the 8 FusionHDTV devices as shown in OzButcher's post. I also have the "HID-Compliant Device" and "USB Human Interface Device", and one other "Unknown Device".
I have the tray icon, and I can run the test program, but none of the buttons light up in the test program when I press them on the remote, even though the green LED on the remote itself does light up.
Does anyone have any other suggestions on how to get the remote working?
Thanks. I have a problem there in that the IR receiver is partially obscured by some metal from the case, so it may not be plugged in correctly. I'll play around tomorrow and see what I come up with.
I installed the latest "TEST" drivers from the ftp site. I uninstalled everything first.
I didn't go an uninstall the drivers from device manager, as guide suggested after the installation.
I performed a reboot, and there was 2 or 3 drivers which had to install. I pointed them to the TEST drivers and they installed succesfully.
After that everything worked fine.
So maybe Divco has fixed the problem with the latest release. It doesn't install all the device drivers until you reboot.
