ok, i haven't read the setup guide...if you just point the USB Tuner to the C:\program files\dvico\drivers\usb folder does it install the AVSTREAM USB driver???
No. Because it is in the USB devices section of device manager as an unknown device and not in the other devices section as a usb device. It seems to think that the driver i am trying to install being C:\program files\dvico\drivers\usb is not suited to the device and basically stops it from installing. Then the only option is click finish or back and select a new location.....
Have you got any issues with the USB component or is it just the MCE not detecting the card? If i can not get it working by the end of the weekend i think it is going back for warranty!!!!!
Rgs Mark
yeah its just the MCE issue. I got all my drivers working as to the setup guide on the 1st page.
im download the free windows vista from microsoft and im gonna give that a go on my main pc. i heard its not ready for dual tuners but i might just get a single one for system.

maybe try uninstalling the driver and letting windows re-find it....i assume you are doing "Update Driver"...

bog it! I'm turning to Media Portal. I tried it ages ago but it was a bit lacking in features.
... I've just installed it quickly to see what it looks like... WOW! They have really spruced it up. Easy installer too with loads of options. I did a scan of TV stations and BOOM! Picked em all up! Don't know what MCE's problem was. I'm even getting the HD channels.
I haven't tried if dual tv works yet... but even if it doesnt I dont really give a crap anymore. As long as it runs nice and I can watch and record my shows I'm happy. The EPG looks easier to setup too.

I am having exactly the same trouble Mark. I just cannot get the USB drivers to install. I have tried following the instructions in the FushionHDTV manual, I've tried following ASDF's guide, I've tried different versions of the FusionHDTV software, I just cannot get it to happen!
In all of the above scenarios, my device manager ends up as shown below. That is, the five FusionHDTV 88x drivers installed and an "Unknown Device" in the USB contollers section. I've have confirmed that the "Unknown Device?" is the DViCO tuner and also confirmed that the USB port is working. In any event, I've tried every external and internal USB port on my motherboard, just in case.
If you get it sorted, please post what you did, cause this is driving me crazy!
Just in case nobody has noticed, there's new drivers out officially now, but I doubt whether this will fix the problem you're having. Another poster had to reinstall the OS to get there's found. And another poster actually had a defective card.
This is my first foray into tv tuners of any type and so far, driving me insane.
Recieved my dual digital yesterday and have spent most of today trying to install the drivers/software.
I can't even get any fusion-anything to show up in device manager at all, only get 1 unknown usb device.
Came with v3.40.01. Downloaded v3.41(official) -no help. Tried asdf's setup instructions. Good work, pity dvico can't get it right. But still not work!
So I'm open to any advice......
Hardware's fine and running winXP sp2 (haven't got to mce yet - waiting till vista next year)

I send my card back for warranty and just got it back today. I uninstalled the old drivers then installed the new card. I downloaded the latest drivers from the web and everything picked up. All stations picked up...picture is great... remote works and PIP works. I guess the problem i had was faulty hardware. By the sounds of it you may have the same problem.
One problem i am still having is that MCE is still not detecting the tuner card. Has anyone come across this issue where it works when running the fusion software but MCE still does not detect the card?
Yep, and it goes back to the first posts in this thread. You need to install Fusion and the drivers, then delete what's left. Reinstall Fusion but don't let Windows auto install the drivers, instead select the Fusion directory manually. Make sure you use the updated Bluebird driver mentioned earlier in this thread.
One question though, right near the end you mention install "media center tuner priority" and give a screenshot of the settings to apply, I cannot seem to find this program to install?
