Smile TV Tuner with Analogue In Advice

Hi all,

I am currently running one Avermedia A16A TV Tuner in my system, I want to get a second digital tuner, however, I wanted to have an analogue input on it so that I can copy some of my old VHS tapes to the hard drive. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?? Would a Divco be compatiable with my A16A?? Is there another way to import VHS tapes to your computer??

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: TV Tuner with Analogue In Advice

Dvico FusionHDTV Plus does, I'd imagine itd work with your existing card but not having tried the combo myself, can't guarantee it.

The problem ive found is the dvico program that comes with the cards does an ordinary job of capping from analog (its all interlaced and theres no obvious/easy way to deinterlace it which produces jagged edges around moving objects).

The other problem is im not aware of any other program that will let you cap via the Fusion cards analog port.

Also in case you aren't aware, MCE does not have any support for capping from within the main MCE program from analog.

Re: TV Tuner with Analogue In Advice

If brand swapping is a concern, Get the AVerMedia A16A Hybrid Card, Has digital, Analogue and FM. I use it currently and it's fantastic.
