Nova 500 Fix for XP SP3

Hi,

Hauppauge has identified an issue with the Nova 500 card and XP SP3. The issue lies with the usbehci.sys driver that is part of the XP SP3 pack, and the issue must be addressed by Microsoft. Microsoft are epxected to shortly release a fix via Windows Update but in the meantime you should follow the proceedure outlined at www.newmagic.com.au/vista. Note that this does not effect Vista users.

As soon as the Windows update fix is released by Microsoft I will post a notice in this thread

Hi,

After feedback from some users it seems this fix can do nasty things to some systems that have other VIA USB onboard. For this reason we are now advising Nova 500 users not to install Windows XP SP3 at all ..until Microsoft provide us with a fix
