looking for a PCI, single input dual tuner

Hi all,

after getting a recording conflict with my single avermedia a777 card (which I love), I've decided to upgrade to a new tuner card.

The cheap arse mobo I have has no PCI-X1 and I'm not ready to change that just yet so I need a PCI card.

Don't want to mess with aerial splitters so I'd like a single input.

Is such a beast available (thats not a DVICO) or am i dreaming and should start on my next build

Jimbo

Re: looking for a PCI, single input dual tuner

Hauppauge Nova-T 500 or the Pinnacle PCTV Dual DVB-T Pro PCI are the 2 I can think of. The Nova-T had early problems, but seems OK these days. Not many users of the Pinnacle, so I don't know much about it.

How about going for a Dual USB tuner option?

This one would do the job for you and it's quite cheap too.

Re: looking for a PCI, single input dual tuner

Yeah, I'd go for USB over dual PCI any day. Dual PCI cards are USB tuners on a PCI bridge, so there is more to go wrong.

Your MB has up to 8 USB 2.0 ports so you'd be fine with the USB dual tuner I mentioned earlier.
