Question HD Tuner/video capture card advice

I have a Hollywood DT15000 video capture card that has given up the ghost and I want to replace it with, if possible, an HD Tuner card that also can do general video/stream capture from an external source, that is not a TV.

I also do not want to spend a huge amount of money on this replacement card.

Re: HD Tuner/video capture card advice

Anyone?

I'd have thought someone in the community would atleast have an opinion if not recommendations.

I have a couple of Avermedia A16As, they are great. HD with analogue capture via a S-Video port. Even includes an S-Video > RCA adapter. I have used it to capture a few times and works very well.

Mine looks slightly different to this one but I think they are the same, cost about $100.

Re: HD Tuner/video capture card advice

Well I've taken the plung and bought a Hauppauge HVR-2200

Had just over a week and now have running nicely. Bigest improvement has been obtained by downloading a newer software package from the UK website. The included CD seems to be a bit dodgy.
