Watching one and recording another show

hey guys

my Media Center is pretty much complete

I bought 2 hauppauge hvr 1300 so you could get foxtel and DTV going, but were are now getting rid of foxtel (not worth it)

So if i install both of these cards will i be able to watch one DTV channel and record another?

or record 2 channles and watch a dvd?

Ill need a split aerial cable corret?

Cheers

Re: Watching one and recording another show

Yes you are correct. If you find that your signal is weak on the split you may need to boost it also.

Re: Watching one and recording another show

the DNTV dual digital is nice, I would personally not use the dvico as it has had some issues of late that are being resolved, compro make a dual cant speak for it though and the old PCI nova became a bit of a fav around here

Good luck

Re: Watching one and recording another show

best not go to SP3 yet then - http://www.hauppauge.co.uk/board/sho...t=9888&page=28.

When they work well, they are great cards - with any version of USBEHCI.SYS post SP2, they will drive you mad.

Re: Watching one and recording another show

just installed my Nova-T-500 and it seems to be going fine

i may need to change some picture settings as HD channels dont look at good as the built in tuner of my sony bravia x 46"

picture looks a little washed out
