Mixed inputs

I have a MCE 2005 with 2 matching Hauppaugge NovaT PCI tuner cards for receiving free-view channels. However, I also would like to receive extra channels from a SKY satalite receiver. I can't [i now realize] introduce the signal via the RF socket, as the Novas only receive digital, not analog signal. I used to achieve a purely analog signal with my dual tuner Hauppaugge analog card [MCE 250], but can I mix these in one system with the Novas?. If not, any ideas how I can introduce the SKY receiver signal? either digitally or using the analog signal?

Re: Mixed inputs

The short answer is yes you can mix the tuners. You need to do some reading about running more than 2 tuners in MCE. It takes a little work but is quite possible, there are stickies in the tuner forums of this site on how to do it.

I have 4 digital tuners in the server on which I am typing now, I have 4 digital and one analogue for Foxtel in another MCE.

All-in-all, not too hard, will take some reading, backing up before trying and if you haven't tinkered too much with MCE before a couple of tries.
