Question HELP: Both tuners recording single program at once???

Hi,

I have a DNTV Dual Hybrid PCI S2 tuner - which has served me reasonably well for 18mths or so - but over the past week or so its mysteriously taken to devoting BOTH tuners to recording any programs that are allocated to be recorded.

So if I look in RECORDED TV it will show the same program twice when its actively recording - though only one copy is actually recorded!

Annoying this means I get a 'No signal found' error when trying to watch TV whilst recording as effectively BOTH tuners are in use!

I have tried using the latest MCE Tuner Priority tool - but that didn't help (I had it installed previously but updated to latest version).

Any ideas on how to solve?

I'm using MCE2005 - and the latest drivers for the DNTV S2.

I've just uninstalled the Tuner's drivers and then reinstalled - same for the Tuner Priority proggie......quickly having tested it is recording fine now - but strangley still shows up a program TWICE in the RECORDED TV section: SCREEN DUMP

Hopefully it won't be an issue but anyone experience anything similar to this?

I currently have Tuner0 set to record TV and Tuner1 set as watching TV - I don't know if there's a 'better way' - as long as it records Barca vs ManU tomorrow morning I will be happy.

Much thanks, Nick

Re: HELP: Both tuners recording single program at once???

Hey there

maybe try rolling back the drivers on the dntv...I tried to use the latest ones on my system and they basically put it into a loop while trying to boot....seemed to be something to do with as soon as the tuners were detected it would halt the system....rolled back and all well!!

Good luck

J

Yes, I straight uninstalled the drivers though - so cannot rollback - but can go get the older ones from the digitalnow site if needed - seems to work - I can live with the double entry in recorded TV - as long asd both tuners don't decide to jobshare again!
