mce tv card problem.

Hi all, just joined this site and hopefully I will gte some help.

I have an xp mce 2005 (yack!) that keeps (once every 6 months) giving me problem wiht the tv tuner...basically all of a sudden it says that tv card is not detected.

I know i can solve the problem by formatting it as I've always done but just for my sanity:where the heck is the tv tuner? Can I just reinstall it rather than have to format the whole thing? (ehich i REALLY dont want to do!).

Any help would be appreciated! (As TV broke so I wathc it on my laptop...well I used to).

PS. Forgive me for any spelling mistake but video card is busted too and cant be bothered to re-read what I wrote as it would take time..and give me a massive headache!..but thast all another issue )

Thanx.

Twice a year my car breaksdown. I figured out that if I rebuild the entire engine the problem gets fixed.

mmmm carpet bombing...

Did you try reinstall the drivers before formatting?
Have you looked for the TV tuner?
