computer hangs when changing channels

Hi,

I have tried searching the forums for a possible solution to my problem but I could not find it so I thought I would post here. My Nvidia 6600 crashed and died and so I replaced it with a Nvidia 8600gt. The graphics card works perfectly with all applications. In MCE it works flawlessly when playing video files and recorded TV. However, when I change channels, on accasions it hangs - I can not get back to the MCE menu without pressing control-alt-delete numerous times. It sometimes allows me to change channels but it almost appears as if it is not playing in media centre anymore because it does not display the blue channel box on the left bottom corner to display channel changes and will not allow me to go back to MCE menu. I know when it becomes out of sync because as I change channels, the computer screen goes black for a short period of time. I thought of a number of possibilities and solutions:

I thought it might be my power supply - it is only 350 watts - but why is all other applications working flawlessly apart from changing channels?

I thought it might be my tuner card (Dvico Fusion Plus) and driver issues? - I did a complete resinstall of XP and upodated all of the drivers 3 times and still have this problem. I even tried moving the tuner card to a different slot to see if it made a difference - it didn't.

My computer is a HP 7099a - so I guess it is getting quite old - maybe the graphics card is to advanced??

I would really appreciate any feedback too my problem.
