My wife asked me to record something to and when I selected it off the guide I noticed that all the guide data disappeared. I then tried to set the guide back up and found that all of my channels (bar the one I had set to record) had disappeared out of MCE2005.
I had to go out so haven't had a chance to try and re-scan the channels but I am wondering what may have caused this. Any ideas?
I have a similar but possibly unrelated problem also with TinyTwin.
I finally got my antenna guy out after weeks of trying, and solved an ongoing issue with signal dropping out (as I suspected there was an issue with the signal booster) - so of course I was happy. I rescanned for channels and got the usual 23 services I pick up. All good - lovely reception.
A bit later, I went to the guide, tried to schedule a program to record and MCE complained that there was a conflict or somethign and advised me to reboot. Instead I rescanned for guide data and then rescanned for services (hoping that would help), and got none. Eventually after repeating several times, Windows system restore and various reboots etc, with no change, I left it for a bit, thinking, then tried again and got 8 services. Now no matter what I seem to do I can only get those 8 services (no mainstream ones, just ABC2,SBS2, SC10 HD, Prime HD, and the 4 digital radios I normally get). Unplugging the antenna from the tuner and sticking it in the TV right next to it gives me all the mainstream channels just fine.
I have uninstalled The DNLive and Schedulerthat I don't use, that came with the tuner(I saw somewhere here a recommendation to not install if you dont use them), run the driver install twice (once to remove, then again to readd). Rescanning just gets me the same 8 services, every time.
Any recommendations? I was thinking of a windows repair maybe? Manually deleting the tuners from Hardware list? None of which really adds up since it was working fine before.
Before you resort to a full install try removing your guide and the guide software. Run the MCE reset tool (available from the download section) then set up your tv from scratch.
Craig.

Thanks Craig. I actually got it to suddenly come to life after trying again last night. All I did was try a different USB port, which is odd because a week or so ago I changed ports and got the second tuner to kick in when it wasn't working. Now I change ports fromthat port to yet another and the channels come back. I also changed guide data source at the same time, but don't think it was that either.
It's a mystery for sure. Thanks anyway - the reset tool sounds useful - I saw it there but wasn't clear exactly what it does.
