MCE Registry Hack

Ok, I have the ability to follow the procedure in the post above, however I am a little stuck.

At present I have both of my tuners installed as windows devices (PCI single and USB Twin).

I am a little confused as where to start as all three tuners are theoretically installed and I am not sure what registry information is what (as MCE only supports 2 tuners by default).

Should I?:

a) unplug the USB tuner and delete the appropriate device in device manager
b) do an uninstall for my PCI card from device manager
c) go into regedit and delete all Keys for ALL tuners
d) reboot, setup PCI card device drivers and make sure device is working
e) run MCE and setup PCI tuner TV signal again
f) start the registry hack process again from this point...

This is how I see it, I just am not sure at what point MCE adds registry information in regards to the tuner, at TV Signal setup or at installation of device driver or at the loading or MCE.

If anyone can find an error in my steps please let me know as I would like to give this a propper go tonight.

Cheers

Re: MCE Registry Hack

Run the scan with any of the tuners & then use the Tuner Extender app to add the other tuners. All should be good after a reboot.

Test it by watching a channel & pressing record, change channels, press record, change channel & press record.
