Question foxtel and leadtek

sorry if this has already been covered

i have a leadtek tuner card, with analogue tuner; i am pretty sure it is Winfast TV2000XP TV Tuner, but as it didn't come with software or documents, i am hard pressed to confirm it

i have a foxtel digital box, and am using vista mce

the problem is:
the winfast remote works for vista mce if i install the software for the pvr2 (digital), but fails to note the input on any connection (aerial / s-video / yellow component)

the pvr software (analogue) works fine for the aerial input for free tv, but can't find a feed for the foxtel by any connector, nor will it recognise the remote for mce

i understand i need an analogue input from the foxtel from what i have read, but there is no way i can get this to work with what i am playing with

is this a simple software problem, or am i a doofus?

any suggestions, including a card that isn't rocket science under vista would be appreciated

thx for any clever counsel
