Finally giving up on my Nova-T-500's

Hi All

I have finally decieded to give up on my 2x Nova-T-500's as they just don't want to work happly together in my MCE machine, so I am now looking a tested and tried Dual card (two of them) for my MCE setup.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Andrew

Re: Finally giving up on my Nova-T-500's

Are your 2 PCI-e x1 slots free? If so, it's probably hard to go past the DNTV Dual PCI-e.

I second this recommendation. Received mine in 24hrs, installed without any problems.

Will two of these cards work together without any issues as I really do need 4 tuners in the machine..

Thanks for that.

Going to order 2x DNTV Dual PCI-e cards and a new motherboard http://www.gigabyte.com.au/Products/...me=GA-965P-DS4 in the New Year to give me two free PCI-E slots as my Gigabyte 7600GT currently takes two slots and is covering one of my PCI-E x1 slots.

Lets hope it all works, otherwise the wife will be kicking me out.

Cheers

You may want to rethink your mainboard as the Gigabyte DS4 has trouble with this card in the PCI-E x 1 slots it wont initialize the card after standby (S3). It works OK in the second X 16 slot. Bit of a pain really as you can only run 1 card. It works fine in my Intel 945 board in all slots.

What board do you have ? If the Gigabyte boards and not going to work then I need to look at the Intel board. Apart from being able to take my 7600GT (soon to be replaced with the 7600GS with the HDMI connector) I will need to take 2x PCI-E Tuners and also allow analog sound output at the same time as digital for My Music as this is how I have my MCE box connected to the in-ceiling speakers throughout the house.

Cheers

The Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 rev1 is my HTPC board that why I know it doesn't work. My desktop is an Intel 945GNTLR which works perfectly with the PCI-e card. I thought the DS4 would be the best board but as usual after you buy something then you do the research and find its shortfalls.

There is a rev2 of the DS4 out now don't know if this has the same problems with the X1 slots?
