I am running 3 tuners and have had a similar problem to this too. From memory I uninstalled the cards and software and then reinstalled them as per the 3+ tuner guide and it worked again.
I'm a bit loathe to junk the two DVico cards I've just bought in favour of another brand, so I'll persist a bit more with troubleshooting the twin tuner card issue. Aswigon, you mention a 3+ tuner guide - is that here or on the DVico site?
Also, as a point of note, I'm running an antenna splitter into the two DVico cards. I've seen some references about passthrough from the cards (i.e. out from one card into the other). I think the DVico DVB-T Plus cards have these jacks, so I might try this as well.
I tried that procedure which seemed to make matters worse - so went back to my system restore point that I made before attempting the workaround.
OK, this is getting stranger by the day. On the suggestion of a MCE evangilist mate of mine from Microsoft, I tried swapping the PCI slots for the two DVico DVB-T Plus cards. Reconfigured MCE to use the two cards. I can now record on one card (which works now - didn't before when configured to use the two tuner cards), and I can get signal on SBS and the ABC when I change channel while recording. However, Nine, Ten & Seven give me the no signal error. If I then re-configure MCE to use the one card again, I get all the channels. I'm starting to suspect that I might have one dud card (tried swapping the antenna cables etc). Logic behind this is that I record on nine using the non-suspect card, and the suspect card is then used to change channels while recording on the 'good' card.
I have also removed the splitter and plugged in the suspect card directly (also tried swapping the antenna cables in case one was suspect).
The last test I'll do over the next couple of days is to remove the card that works correctly and plug in the suspect card, configure MCE with the one card and test what channels I get. If it's still limited to SBS and the ABC, I've found my problem. If it works, then I'm probably more stumped than I am now. If it's faulty, then I gotta work out how to get a warranty swap on it.
Thanks to everyone who's helped so far and given me some great suggestions. Sorry for the multiple posts, but at least by publishing my troubleshooting steps, maybe someone else can avoid some issues!
Sorry it took a long time to get a reply back in relation to the issue, but 8 month old twins slow down the troubleshooting time available these days . The issue was a dud card. One card works, but only allows SBS to be viewed - go figure.
The cards are only 4 months old, but the company I bought them from have gone. Does anyone know of a contact for DVico in Australia I could take up the warranty issue with?
As an FYI, what I did was remove one card, fire up media centre, and go through the channels. I then shut it down, swapped out the card and then did the same thing. The issue reared itself (channel not available message) on the faulty card, whereas the good one showed all channels fine. Wish I'd done this earlier.
I beleive Lako Pacific represent Dvico in Australia though I may be wrong. They might be able to help. Conversely Renura over at digitalnow has alot of contact with Dvico re drivers/cards/software he might know of somone you can contact.

Hi goslingsj,
please do get in touch with us, and if the retailer you purchased the card from obtained stock from us, we may be able to assist, else you may have to contact the other DVICO Distributor.
