Re: Hauppage Nova-t 500 Driver Bug

Another update... things are still going well. Had one night where ABC was breaking up a a lot (unwatchable) but didn't get a chance to check signal strength (was recording other stuff at the time and didn't want to kill ehrecvr).

I just did a test of ABC and SBS on both tuners there is only a difference of 1 in signal strength between both. I get 56/57 for SBS and 69/70 for ABC.

I have a hill between my antenna and Mt Cootha and get some bad reflections off nearby tall buildings so it's not a spectacular signal (analogue has a lot of shadowing)

Re: Hauppage Nova-t 500 Driver Bug

Would it be possible for one of you who has successfully downloaded this file: http://www.newmagic.com.au/support/F...Driver_33c.zip to forward it to me by email, or to place it on an FTP site for me to download?

It is the Vista driver supposedly available from http://www.newmagic.com.au/support/H...a_Drivers.html. I've found it impossible to download it myself because the newmagic website is so slow that the download repeatedly cuts out after only 1-2MB.

I will PM my email address to anyone who is able to do this.

Many thanks

dw

Hi,
Do you still need this? I just downloaded from the link you provided - it worked fine. If you need it, I can PM you a link for downloading.

Re: Hauppage Nova-t 500 Driver Bug

Has anyone got the registry fix to enable this crappy stutter fix for this crappy TV Tuner card. I know this is old news, but I cant watch ABC2 and the kids like it. This card has been a thorn in my foot since I owned it

Re: Hauppage Nova-t 500 Driver Bug

This has been fixed for ages, and you don't need to do anything to enable it if you're using the latest driver. You must have reception problems.
