New Hauppauge drivers for MCE Nova T 500 and all other cards too

Hi,

Just letting everyone know Hauppauge have listed on the US website a new MCE driver download CD 3.1E (3.1D was shipped with the Nova T 500)

The version on the CD is 24093 and the new version is 24118

I haven't upgraded yet but I will in the next day or so to test, if anyone is having trouble maybe try the new drivers.

And if anyone is keener than me try them and let everyknow your experiences otherwise I will try them in the next few days and report.

Regards,

AM

Wouldn't it be silly to use a US driver?

Hauppauge drivers aren't region-specific.

I tried the new drivers - they seem to be slightly quicker at changing channels - hard to notice, but it seems a tad quicker. It also could be me looking for a difference !!

It would be nice if Hauppauge provided release notes that explain what they did between the releases... ??

Cheers

Same here - especially Sydney Channel 7 SD and HD (changing to it from another station used to be really slow and sometimes end in a "No TV Signal" message).

Now it is as quick to change to 7 as others, and so far (cross fingers) I haven't had any No TV Signal messages.

Regards,
Shane.

The TV card driver (for DVB-t cards) is unlikely to influence whether you have sound on a particular channel.

Yes, I'm pretty certain the "No Sound on 7" (happens if you record on 7 , change channel and change back again) is from the lastest Purevideo drivers. I have reverted back to previous verison yet, but will do soon.
I also get periodic "washed out" colours in LiveTV, which also started happening since installing new PureVideo. Could also be a combo of new purevideo drivers and my very ancient FX5200... Might try upgrading to a 6600 soon...
